Accessibility statement

We want our website to work for everyone, whatever device, browser or assistive technology you use. Here is what we have done and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

Last updated 21 June 2026

We want everyone to be able to find out about our work and get in touch with us, no matter how they browse the web. This statement explains what we have done to make that possible and how to tell us when we have fallen short.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. In plain terms, that means we want the site to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader, need larger text, or prefer reduced motion. Accessibility is not a box we tick once. It is something we build into how the site is made.

What we have done

These are the measures we have put in place across the site:

  • We use clean, semantic HTML so the page structure makes sense to browsers and assistive technology.
  • The whole site can be operated with a keyboard, and the element you are on has a clear, visible focus state.
  • Text and background colours meet AA contrast levels, so content stays readable.
  • The layout is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktops.
  • We respect the "reduced motion" setting in your browser or device, so animations are reduced or switched off if you have asked for that.
  • The site still works with JavaScript turned off, because the core content and links do not depend on it.
  • You can resize the text using your browser without the page breaking.
  • A "skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight past the navigation to the main content.

We are still working on it

We have done a lot, but we will not pretend the site is perfect. Standards move on, content changes, and no website is ever completely finished when it comes to accessibility. We keep reviewing the site and improving it over time, and honest feedback from people who use it is one of the best ways we learn where to focus next.

How to get help or report a barrier

If something on this site gets in your way, or you need information from it in a different format, please tell us. Email hello@vanguardprojects.co.uk and let us know what you were trying to do and where the problem was. We will get back to you, and if we cannot fix the issue straight away we will find another way to give you the information you need. You can also reach us through our contact page.
