How we keep work qualified, insured and accountable, in plain terms. We would rather tell you exactly how we operate than show you a wall of badges.
Choosing a contractor comes down to trust. Here is how we earn it: the right cover in place, qualified people on site, work that is certified and signed off, and a paper trail you keep.
Insurance
We hold public liability insurance, so the work we carry out for you is properly covered. If you need to see our cover for a specific project, or for your own records or those of your managing agent, just ask and we will provide the details.
Qualified, accredited trades
Vanguard Projects is a young company, and we are straight about that. What matters on site is the people doing the work, and the trades and specialists we engage hold the accreditations their work requires. Gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers, electrical work by competent, registered electricians, and other specialist work by people qualified to do it. Where a job needs a particular qualification or registration, the person doing it has it.
We are building the company's own accreditations and memberships as we grow, and we work alongside approved certifiers and inspectors on the work that calls for them.
Certified and signed off
Notifiable work, the kind that has to be certified, is carried out by appropriately registered people and signed off through the proper route, whether that is a competent-person scheme or building control. When the job is done you get the certificates and paperwork to keep, so your records are complete and your property's history is clear.
Standards we hold ourselves to
The assurance is not only in the paperwork. Every job runs the same way, which you can read about on our how we work page:
- Written scopes and clear, itemised pricing.
- One point of contact for the life of the job.
- Costs agreed in writing before any work starts.
- Changes raised and agreed before they happen, never buried in the final bill.
- Snags closed, work signed off, and the paperwork handed over.
We would rather show you how we work than badge ourselves with claims we cannot back up. As we earn accreditations and complete work under the Vanguard Projects name, we will show them here.
