Privacy policy

How we look after your personal data, what we collect and why, and the rights you have. In short: our website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and we only receive your details when you choose to contact us.

Last updated 21 June 2026

This notice explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website or get in touch with us. We have written it to be clear and honest. The headline point: our website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and uses no tracking of any kind, and we only receive your personal data when you decide to email or call us.

Who we are and how to contact us

This website is operated by Vanguard Pro Ltd, trading as Vanguard Projects, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14084220. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. Our registered office is 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.

If you have any question about this notice or about how we use your personal data, you can reach us by email at hello@vanguardprojects.co.uk or by phone on 0207 167 6438. Our emergency line is +44 7379 734022. You can also use our contact page.

The information we collect and how

Our website is a static site. It does not record who visits it, and the enquiry form does not send anything to us automatically. When you complete the form, it simply opens your own email app with a message ready to go, addressed to hello@vanguardprojects.co.uk. Nothing is sent unless you choose to press send, and the website itself stores none of it.

This means we only receive personal data when you choose to contact us, by the form, by email or by phone. Depending on what you tell us, that may include:

  • your name;
  • your email address and phone number;
  • your property location or postcode;
  • the property type;
  • the type of work you need and your timescale;
  • your budget, if you choose to give one;
  • the description you write about your enquiry; and
  • anything else you share with us in later emails or calls.

Giving us these details is voluntary, but please note that we cannot reply to an enquiry or prepare a quote without them.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

We use the personal data you give us to reply to your enquiry, to discuss the work you need, and to prepare a quote or arrange a contract for the work. Under UK data protection law we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate interests, namely responding to enquiries and dealing with messages sent to us, where this does not override your own interests and rights; and
  • Steps prior to a contract, where you are asking us to provide a quote or to carry out work for you.

We do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising or third-party marketing tools. We do not build a profile of you, we do not follow you across other websites, and we do not measure your visit. There is nothing for you to accept or decline, because there is simply no tracking to consent to. We have verified this in the site's code.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing. To run our website and receive your messages, we use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare hosts and delivers our website through Cloudflare Pages, and routes incoming email to us through Cloudflare Email Routing;
  • Google provides the Gmail mailbox where your email arrives and is read.

These providers only handle your data so that our website works and your message reaches us. We may also share personal data where the law requires us to do so.

International transfers

The providers above are global services, so your personal data may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry emails only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or the job, and to keep reasonable business records. After that, we delete them.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete (rectification);
  • ask us to delete your data (erasure);
  • ask us to limit how we use your data (restriction);
  • object to our use of your data; and
  • ask us to transfer your data to you or another provider (portability).

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at hello@vanguardprojects.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the chance to put things right first, so please do consider contacting us before you go to the ICO.

How we keep it secure

We take reasonable steps to keep your personal data safe. Because our website stores nothing, the main place your data lives with us is the mailbox where your message arrives, which is access controlled. We limit who can see your enquiry to the people who need it to deal with your request.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice from time to time to keep it accurate. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. The version published here is the current one.
